I. The patient then enters the reception area through the entry door where his case history is recorded and case sheet is issued. II. All the patients’ vitals are recorded like BP, height, weight etc. III. The patient is made to wait in the waiting area set up according to social distancing protocols IV. The waiting area is equipped with televisions which continuously displays patient education and awareness videos about COVID 19 and other dentistry related topics.

The treatment rooms are divided into diagnosis room, aerosol generating treatment room and non- aerosol generating treatment room. All the air conditioning systems are turned off and windows are kept open to ensure air circulation while treating the patient. The aerosol generating room is equipped with heavy duty air exhaust fan and high vacuum suction with immediate disinfection system (produced and assembled in house) to eliminate aerosols produced within the room. The diagnosis rooms are provided with high capacity best in class portable air purifier with HEPA filters to offer maximum protection to both, the practitioners and patients. All the rooms are provided with UV lights to ensure maximum microbe free environment. f. Before beginning any treatment the patient is made to rinse his/ her mouth thoroughly with betadine or chlorhexidine mouth wash and the rinsed water is sucked out using the suction tip and spitting of this water is prohibited in order to avoid contamination of the chair and surrounding areas. The doctors and staffs receive the patient in PPE kits.

The treatment room is thoroughly cleaned with hospital grade disinfectants after each patient. The instruments are sterilized in compliance with the available protocols. All the aerosol generating hand pieces and ultrasonic scalers are cleaned and disinfected in special cleaning unit by Kavo (Assistina Plus) after every patient. The sterilization is room is equipped with latest devices to ensure maximum patient safety and prevention of cross contamination

Post treatment the patient makes payment at the reception. Cashless transaction facilities like online payments, card payments etc. are available to minimize the cross contamination through physical cash transactions. Once the final payment and appointment schedules are made. The patient walks out through a separate exit gate. Before finally exiting the premises, once more hand wash protocol is followed.
