Profile
Dr.Jijo Paul is a highly trained Dental surgeon with more than 22 years of experience to his credit. He is an expert in Maxillo- Facial Prosthesis and Dental Implantology. He is the surgeon in India to develop a mouth stick appliance for paralyzed patients (the first case of its kind in the country and fifth in the world). Dr. Jijo Paul also holds the honor of being the developer of India’s first indigenous closed field magnetic system supported dentures and cranio facial prosthesis.
An alumnus of the prestigious Meenakshi Ammal Dental College, Dr. Paul received his B.D.S and M.D.S degree from Dr. M.G.R Medical University, Chennai, the latter under the able guidance of Prof. E. Munirathnam Naidu.
He has been an active researcher and has presented a number of scientific papers at national and international conferences. A learned speaker and well known for his hard work, he was awarded Dr. Barucha Award at the Annual conference held on 53rd IDC on 7th to 10th Jan in 1999 and the Dr. F.D. Mirza award on 28th- 29th November 1999 at National level for the best scientific papers in IDA and IPS national conferences respectively. He had the privilege to represent India for the scientific Paper presentation at the Asia Pacific Dental Conference at Singapore (APDC) on 21st – 25th April 1999 and was also the “Young Prosthodontist Award Nominee” from India for the 8th biennial meeting of International College of Prosthodontists (ICP). Stockholm, Sweden July 1999.
He was the consultant maxilla facial prosthodontist in the department of head and neck surgery at Amrita Institute of medical sciences (AIMS), Kochi and was a former consultant for Zhermack- Italy. He served as professor of prosthodontics and Implantology at MES dental college, Perinthalmanna. Dr. Jijo Paul holds the Universal Record Forum’s World Record (URF) in 2013. He was certified on Sinus and Implant Education program at the Dentium HQ South Korea, 2022. Also was awarded Certificate of Appreciation, at the Dug Tam University in Vietnam, 2023. He was part of Guinness World Record at Dentium Smile Saga, New Delhi in 2024 and presently is the faculty member, KOL (Key Opinion Leader) for Dentium. Presently, he is serving as a doctor for emergency services at CIAL and an on panel doctor with Air India. He is the director of Mazhuvenchery specialty dental clinic, Aluva and Athani, and also is an associated consultant at Aster Medicity, Cochin.
